Photomontages
The technique of photo-montage is an essential part of the design process. It allows me to apply and study concepts (such as 'place', 'non-place, 'heterotopia'), active in different spaces, which reveal in turn physical and metaphysical qualities. These qualities later inform the development of the architectural projets.

Drawings
Various drawings, representing both Romanian and international architecture, from different periods, as well as objects, people and public spaces studies. All of these enhance the understanding of spaces, of their physical (materiality/ structure) and metaphysical (experiential) qualities, as well as the understanding of the end user.

Models

The sutdy of models and structural details are another important part of the design process. It is about starting from a concrete element, such as a structural detail, and translate it into concepts or other physical components.
I then use this simple form as means to juggle between scales, replicating it at both micro and macro levels, throughout the projects, thus achieving a sense of continuity in the overall language of the design.
